Elemental Security Inc., a provider of enterprise security and compliance management technology, named Marc Ferrie as its vice president of engineering.
Ferrie, who started yesterday, replaces Michael Schwartz, who left for another opportunity, Chief Executive Peter Watkins confirmed.

Founded in December 2002, Elemental is based in San Mateo, Calif.
